DUANE RUBASH

DUAINE N. RUBASH Duaine N. Rubash, 72, of Hope, ND died Sunday, November 4, 2012 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Hospital in Cooperstown, ND. Duaine was born November 21, 1939 near Michigan, ND the son of Tony and Lora (Foote) Rubash. He grew up and attended school in East Grand Forks, MN. He entered the US Marine Corp in 1956. He served in Vietnam. After his release in 1970 he returned to East Grand Forks where he worked for Vern Hagen Potato Warehouse. Later he worked construction and did odd jobs in the Grand Forks area. He married Rose Olson February 20, 2000 in Jefferson, IA. The couple moved to a farm near Hope, ND in September 2007. He is survived by his wife, Rose, Hope, ND; daughter, Lori Anderson; son, Duaine Jr.(Jenny) Cummings, ND; two grandchildren, Danielle Anderson, Jeremy Rubash; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Ardis Preston, Grandin, ND, Glenda Rubash, East Grand Forks, MN; brother, Merlin Rubash, East Grand Forks, MN. Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Darrell; daughter, Ranae; granddaughter, Starla. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND.
