RHONDA GJESDAL Rhonda Gjesdal, 53, Cooperstown, ND died Saturday, November 3, 2012 near her home. Rhonda was born January 30, 1959 in Moorhead, MN the daughter of Ronald and Ruth (Benson) Berge. She grew up in Wisconsin and Minnesota before moving to the Dazey area. She attended school in Hannaford and graduated from Hannaford High School in 1977. She attended Moorhead Tech studying Culinary. She married Brad Gjesdal, December 4, 1982 in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walum, ND. The couple made their home on the family farm near Luverne, ND. Rhonda worked as a dietary aide and in housekeeping in the Cooperstown Medical Center, Cooperstown, ND. She was presently employed at Antoinette’s on the River in Wahpeton, ND. Rhonda collected salt and pepper shakers, doing word search puzzles, shopping, reading cook books and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rhonda will be best remembered for her love of God, love of family, her laughter, opening up Christmas presents and the way her whole face would light up when Esther and Lilly were near her. She is survived by her husband, Brad, Cooperstown, ND; son, Garret (Lindsay) Gjesdal. Lake Bronson, MN; daughter, Erika Gjesdal, Wahpeton, ND; two granddaughters, Esther and Lilly Gjesdal; parents, Ronald and Ruth Berge, Dazey, ND; three sisters, Debra (Mark Erickson) Berge, West Fargo, ND, Kathy (Joe) Bialke, Germany, Elizabeth Berge, Cooperstown, ND; two brothers, twin, Ronald (Beth) Berge, Danny Berge both of Cooperstown, ND; sister-in-law, Brenda Gjesdal, Wahpeton, ND. Preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Doris and Lloyd Gjesdal, niece and goddaughter Annie Gjesdal. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Services will be Wednesday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Ness Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
