MIRANDA T. PITTENGER

MIRANDA PITTENGER Miranda Pittenger, 97, Cooperstown, ND passed away, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Nursing Home in Cooperstown, ND. Miranda was born June 5, 1915 the daughter of Oscar and Emma (Larson) Gunderson near Cooperstown, ND. She grew up and attended rural school there and graduated from Cooperstown High School in 1933. She married Thelmer Olson in June 5, 1936 the couple farmed in Pilot Mound, Twsp. until 1947 when they moved into Cooperstown. Thelmer passed away January 27, 1971. Miranda married Monroe Pittenger June 17, 1973. The couple made their home in Cooperstown. Monroe passed away September 6, 1996. Miranda continued to live in Cooperstown until she became a resident of the Cooperstown Medical Center Nursing Home. She is survived by; a son, Merlyn Olson, Nebreska; daughter Myrna Mae Olson, Valley City, ND and three granddaghters. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Monday October 8, 2012 one hour prior to services in the Church.
