MARY HELEN RESSLER Mary Helen Ressler, 83, Cooperstown, ND died Sunday, September 16, 2012 in the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND. She was born in Cooperstown, ND, the youngest child of Frank and Ernestine (Schwarzl) Heinz, on November 16, 1928. She grew up on the family farm and attended Tyrol #3 country school. On February 11, 1947 she married Elmo (Bud) Ressler at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND. They farmed there until 1983 when they moved to Cooperstown. Bud passed away February 27, 2008. She enjoyed cross stitch, cross word puzzles and going shopping. She was so proud of and enjoyed supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their various activities. Family was everything to her. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Altar Society and sat on local election boards. Mary Helen is survived by three sons; Wayne (Kathy), McVille, ND, Randy (Evy) and Larry (Karen) both of Cooperstown, ND; daughter Lori (Wes) Parson, McHenry, ND; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Becherl, ; brother, Frank (Arlene) Heinz, both of Cooperstown, ND sisters-in-law, Joyce Heinz, Cooperstown, ND, Ellen Peterson, Minneapolis, MN and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ernestine; husband of 61 years, Elmo (Bud); her son Shawn ; her grandson Russell Wayne Ressler; sisters, Elsie Fiebiger, Martha Hoheisel and one brother, Richard. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Griggs County Care Center for all of the wonderful care. God Bless the memory of Mary Helen. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:30 am in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Jessie. ND.
