ROBERT G. CAMERON JR.

Robert (Bob) Cameron Jr. 49 of Finley, ND lost his ten year battle with brain cancer on August 25, 2012. He was courageous to the end, surrounded by his loving family and friends. His smile and sense of humor will be his lasting gift. He always fought this battle with a smile on face. Bob was born to Robert G. Cameron Sr. and Judith (German) Cameron on February 28, 1963 in Greenwich, CT. Bob joined the US Navy in 1981 and was stationed in Lemoore Naval Airbase. He met Roberta (Bobbi) Mitzel in 1987 and they married in 1989. They have two children. He had an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1989. In 1997 he joined the North Dakota National Guard. In 2002 he was active to full time Army for Operation Noble Eagle. Bob enjoyed the life he was given. He was thankful for every day. He had goals he had set and made every one of them. He tried always to make the best out of a bad situation. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and just spending quality time with his family. He was a member of Finley Lutheran Church, Peterson-Olson American Legion Post #13 and the Finley Cemetery Board. He is survived by his wife Bobbi, his children, Michael, Jenna, Robert III, and William; one grandson Robert Cameron IV; his father, Robert G. Cameron Sr., Greenwich, CT; brother, Tim (Denice) Cameron, New Haven, CT; sister, Ginny (Ron) Jones, Cape Coral FL; sisters-in-law, Michaeline (Pete) Martin, Patricia (Oscar) Garza both of Coalinga, CA; brother-in-law, Terry (Pam) Mitzel, Maricopa, CA and many nieces and nephews. All of who he loved dearly. Bob was preceded in death his mother Judith Cameron, Mother and Father-in-law Marie and Mike Mitzel. Bob loved the community he lived in. He was very proud to be raising a family in a small town. He was very appreciative with all the love and support the community surrounded his family. Funeral Services will be will be Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Finley Lutheran Church in Finley, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Finley Lutheran Church in Finley, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Church.
