INGA C. LARSON

INGA C. LARSON Inga C. Larson, age 93, of Cooperstown, ND died Wednesday April 11, 2012 in Medical Center Nursing Home. Inga C. Kalvik was born December 25, 1918 rural Hannaford, ND the daughter of Olaf and Dora (Haugen) Kalvik. She grew up and attended school in Greenfield Twsp. She was baptized and confirmed at Union Lutheran Church at Hannaford, ND. She taught Sunday School for years, member of the WELCA, member of the church choir and also quilting group. Early in her life she worked for relatives and neighbors. Inga married Howard P. Larson on December 29, 1944 at Moorhead, MN and she began her life as a farm wife and mother of seven children. Inga and Howard were in a band called "Neighbors." Howard died September 21, 1999. Inga continued to make her home on the farm until she became a resident of the Cooperstown Medical Center Nursing Home in 2009. Inga is survived by her six children, Carol (Robert) Hallett, Fergus Falls, MN, Darrell (Dianne) and DeVon, both of Grand Forks, ND, Roger (Ranae) and Debara Andreasen both of Cooperstown, ND and Larry (Kathy), Fargo, ND. The grandchildren are DeAnn (Troy) Diegel, Ryan (Amy) Hallett, Dana Larson, Aaron Larson, Adam Larson, Amy (Chris) Boushey, Candi (Terry) Wills and Nick (Sarah) Larson. 16 great grandchildren. Her sister Doris Girling, her brother Orville Kalvik, sister-in-laws Hazelle Smith, Marion Larson, Arla (Merland) Carlson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence Eugene, husband Howard, son Duane, grandson Randy, brother-in-law Melvin Girling, sister-in-law Agnes Kalvik and son-in-law Dan Andreasen. Funeral services will be Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Union Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, rural Hannaford, ND.
