MARGARET M. HAUGEN Margaret M. Haugen, 84, Hannaford, ND passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Hospital in Cooperstown, ND. Margaret was born July 29, 1927 in Cass County, ND the daughter of William and Ruth (Pyle) Grage. She grew up and attended rural school near Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School. She graduated from Mayville State College and taught in various county schools and substituted in local schools. She married Maynard J. Haugen June 12, 1956 in Hillsboro, ND. To this union three sons were born. The couple farmed in the Hannaford, ND area their entire married life. She was a member of the Union Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford, ND She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Aide (WELCA) and became a president of that organization. She was also a proud lifetime member of the Mervin J. Armstrong Ladies Auxiliary Post #113. Margaret enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, needle work, reading and especially her grandchildren. Her patience, love and caring was exceptional. She is survived by two sons; Mark (Vicki) Hannaford, ND, Steve, Fargo, ND, a special friend Wendy Ruediger : five grandchildren; Lindsey, Magen, Trevor , Justin, Jacob; three brothers, Glenn (Barb) Grage Omaha, NB, Richard (Toni) Grage, Gilbert, AZ, Philip (Carolyn) Grage, Grandin, ND; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Hagelstrom, Hazel Hobert and Eileen Grage and several nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, son-John: brother, George. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10:30 am in the Union Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Union Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery.
