VERNON K. KVAMME Vernon Kvamme, 80 of Fargo, ND formerly of Finley, ND, died Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Bethany Home in Fargo, ND. Vernon was born October 18, 1931 near Mekinok, ND the son of Carl and Anna (Greenberg) Kvamme. He grew up and attended school at Manvel, ND and graduated from Manvel High School. He married Betty Ainsworth January 20, 1952 in Grand Forks, ND. Vernon served honorably in the U.S. Army in 1952 and was a member of the American Legion. He worked as a salesman in the food industry in North Dakota and Minnesota. In 1979 the couple moved to Fargo, ND where Vernon worked for Dakota Foods, retiring in the early 1990’s. In 1995 they moved to Finley, ND, where Vernon worked for area farmers. Betty passed away June 23, 2003. Vernon made his home Mayville and Grand Forks before becoming a resident in Bethany Homes in 2007. Vernon loved to do jig saw puzzles, word search, playing cards, especially pinochle and was a great handyman. He is survived by; three sons, Richard (Nancy) Carlsbad, CA; Michael (Debra), Blaine, MN; David (Sherry) Pine Top, AZ; two daughters, Debra (Larry) Wiese, Fargo, ND; Kathy Fetting, Fargo, ND; twelve grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Proceeded in death by his parents, wife, Betty; grandson, Mark; ten brothers and sisters. A Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Bethany Home Chapel on University. Interment will be in the Sunny wood Cemetery at 1:00 pm in Grand Forks, ND.
