FRANK WURST

FRANK WURST Frank Wurst, 94 of Jessie, ND died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Nelson County Care Center in McVille, ND. Frank Wurst was born July 15, 1916 to Julius and Marie (Lux) Wurst at the Wurst farm north of Jessie, ND. He attended Jessie School. At the age of 12 he began earning a living “The Hard” farming with horses. This was to be his life’s work, retiring at the age of 68. He lived in assisted living in Jamestown for 5 years, 7 years at the Bridgeview in Valley City. Frank enjoyed his Jessie and West Prairie neighbors, and loved to talk about the “Good Old Days”. He was a great historian, remembering who farmed what and where, who married who, who was the best dancer and what café had the best pie alamode. Frank is survived by his sister Dorothy Hageberg, Fargo, ND; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Emil; sisters, Marie, Augusta, Bertha, Emma, Martha, Amelia and Minnie. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jessie, ND. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:30 to 6:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Jessie, ND in the spring. In lieu of flowers please give to the charity of your choice.
