DORA PRATT

DORA PRATT Dora Pratt, age 105, Fargo, formally of Cooperstown, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Elim Care Center, Fargo. The family wishes to thank the staff at Elim Care and Hospice for their loving care. Doris Nelson was born to Nels and Dorthea Nelson on November 26, 1911 near Revere, ND. She was the youngest of six children. She graduated from High School in Cooperstown, ND. On October 14, 1935, she married Wallace Irving Pratt in Carrington, ND. They made their home at the original Robert H. Pratt farm. They later purchased the John Detwiller farmstead in 1941 and operated the farm until 1958 when they moved into Cooperstown. During the time on the farm, they raised three children. After moving into Cooperstown she worked at the Stone Café and later at the C & D grocery store. Wallace passed away in 1992. Dora continued to live in Cooperstown until 2005 when she moved in with her daughter in Fargo, then entering Elim Care in 2007. Dora is survived by her son, Harlan (Kathy) Pratt, West Fargo and daughter Roberta (Martin) Kloster of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren, Renae McCormick, Merrill, Wisc; Teresa Robson, Reno, NV; Robert Pratt, Mhd, MN; Maria Rohde, Langdon, ND; Rev, Kevin Kloster, Rapids City, SD; Christine Pauling, Bismarck, ND, 9 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; son, Irving and was the last sibling alive from her family. A memorial service celebrating her life and sharing many memories with family members and friends will be held April 15th at the Fargo Masonic Center, 1405 N. 4th St., Fargo, ND at 11 am. Burial will be at a later time at the Cooperstown Cemetery.
